Eligibility Criteria:
The Fraternity and Sorority Life Alumni of the Year Award is designed to honor individuals who inspire and motivate others through their service and engagement, leaving a lasting legacy within the fraternity/sorority community.
Nominee must have been graduate for at least five years plus.
1. Active Alumni Engagement:
o Must have demonstrated consistent involvement with their fraternity or sorority post-graduation.
o Active participation in alumni events, chapter support, and/or national organization activities.
o Mentorship of current undergraduate members or support in fostering inter-chapter relationships.
2. Leadership and Service:
o Demonstrated leadership within the fraternity/sorority community or broader alumni networks.
o Involvement in philanthropic initiatives or charitable work, especially those aligned with the fraternity/sorority's values.
o Active role in facilitating chapter growth, programming, or the development of fraternity and sorority life initiatives on campus or nationally.
3. Commitment to the Fraternity/Sorority’s Values:
o An alumnus who consistently reflects the core values of their organization (e.g., leadership, scholarship, service, brotherhood/sisterhood) in their personal, professional, and social actions.
o A history of fostering a positive and supportive alumni network within the Greek community.
4. Impact on the Campus and Community:
o Significant impact on enhancing the fraternity and sorority experience for current and future generations.
o Contributions that have advanced the positive reputation of fraternity and sorority life on campus and/or within the community.
5. Professional and Personal Accomplishments:
o Achievements in their professional field that reflect the skills and values honed through their fraternity or sorority membership.
o Positive impact on their local, regional, or global community, particularly where their work has advanced the mission and vision of the fraternity/sorority system.
6. Longevity of Contributions:
o A record of sustained, long-term engagement and service to the fraternity/sorority community over a period of time.
o Demonstrated resilience and commitment to the organization, even in the face of personal or professional challenges.
