Dear ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Student,
The ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Student Government – Diversity Affairs Committee is currently working on the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Experience: A Look Inside the Classroom initiative with ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Faculty Senate and MEI (Making Excellence Inclusive). This initiative examines how diversity impacts the classroom experience as it relates to ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ students’ ability to learn, their overall academic performance, and overall inclusion and experience at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ.
To assist in determining how the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ classroom experience supports and promotes diversity, the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Student Government – Diversity Affairs Committee is currently working on a video and survey project that highlights the personal stories and different roles that diversity plays in students’ respective comfort levels in ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ classes, their interaction with ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ faculty, and their level of class participation.
